Ik ken Aibel niet, het lukte me wel om iets te vinden, maar niet veel. Ik zag dat ze een Ierse fee of godin was. Hier is een pagina waar wat uitgebreidere informatie over haar wordt verteld:

Bedankt voor je reactie. Inderdaad van die keltische en ierse godinnen zijn er veel en de namen worden inderdaad op diverse manieren gespelt.
De informatie die je aanhaalde had ik al, maar toch bedankt voor de moeite.

Tsja, ik was er al bang voor, je vindt dit al snel als je op het web gaat zoeken.
Ik hoop nog de verhalen te lezen waarin ze wordt genoemd, of zowiezo al die Ierse folklore. Daar staat vast ook wel een en ander van op het web.
Succes met het vinden van meer info in elk geval.

Halo Nicole, misschien hebt ge hier iets aan. De naam is wel Aoibheall maar dat maakt geen verschil denk ik. Mogelijk kan ge onder die naam wat verder zoeken.

Helaas krijg ik de bovengenoemde sites niet op gang, misschien later nog maar eens proberen. In ieder geval bedankt.

Aoibheall

Aoibheall or Aoibhell, the Lovely One, is a Celtic Fairy queen whose activities centered on the Hill of Craglea, Craig Laith (The Grey Rock) in County Clare, Munster. Her abode is the highest point of Craig Laith at Craig Aoibheal, a great rock almost 40 ft high that emerges from the side of the Hill, and there is a well, Tobareevil, on the side of the hill named for her. On the lower slopes of Craglea was the Fort of Greenanlaghna, the original dwelling of the O'Briens before Kincora (Killaloe). She acted as the tutelary spirit of the O’Briens, though in later years she was considered to more of a banshee. Whoever heard the music of her harp did not long survive the experience. In 1014, she accompanied the Delcassian Army to do battle against the Viking army in Dublin. On the eve of the Battle of Clontarf, she appeared to Brian Boru and foretold his death the following day. Legend has it that Aoibheal disappeared when the Great Oak was cut down.
